Just outside the Kichumbanyobo gate, the simple bandas (thatched-roofed huts) here are run by local women and offer an insight in to how rural Ugandans live. The money helps raise funds for a local preschool. There's a fascinating cooking tour (USh20,000 per person) among other activities. A boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) from Masindi costs USh12,000.
