Ageing, and not doing so particularly gracefully, Hotel Berny is an eclectic local institution owned by the former mayor of Ranohira. Ignore the junkyard-style garden and you'll find surprisingly good rooms in a large stone building. Highlights include mosquito nets and zebu-horn toilet-paper holders. Avoid the restaurant. Berny also has some out-of-town campsites.
