Set squarely in the town centre, this government-run hotel might be fading a little and feel a bit like a sanatorium, but it’s a real institution and has a constant buzz of people coming and going. The large rooms are a fair deal though some have views over the slums. Aside from the location, the best assets are the numerous facilities, including a decent bar and restaurant, internet cafe and travel agent.
