Driftwood is a small, unique, family owned hotel on Silversands Beach in Malindi Kenya, just 10 minutes from the airport. Affectionately known as ‘The Club’ this hotel is a favourite for upcountry and local residents and a home away from home for many overseas guests. Accommodation comprises 23 individual, airconditioned, one bedroom ensuite cottages, two family cottages with two bedrooms en suite, sitting room, verandah and sharing a private swimming pool plus three private villas with two bedrooms en suite, large sitting room and sharing their own exclusive swimming pool. The main dining room and bar have uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean and overlook the main swimming pool. The Conference Centre offers plenty of natural light and is fully air conditioned. It comfortably seats 60 and is wired for most audiovisual media requirements and WiFi is available throughout the property. Whether you’re organising a training session, a meeting, a focus group or a conference, when you choose Driftwood as your venue, you are in good hands. Available all year round, they provide a distraction free environment where your delegates can concentrate on your message. There are a range of activities available, including deep sea fishing, scuba diving, windsurfing, snorkelling in the marine park, water ski-ing on Mida Creek and bird watching on the Sabaki Delta or in the Arabuko-Sokoke forest. Other activities such as horse riding and golf can also be arranged as well as safaris to the nearby Tsavo National Park.
