Just 75 km from Port Elizabeth towards Grahamstown, Eastern Cape, South Africa Shamwari is the crown jewel of Big 5 private game reserves situated in the malaria-free Eastern Cape, the birthplace of Nelson Mandela. The Born Free Centre has made Shamwari Game Reserve its home now for many years. Shamwari is one of the most successful private conservation initiatives in Southern Africa coupled with responsible tourism, and the most luxurious means of experiencing an African adventure.
