He traveled to Oslo, Norway in December 1961 – an epic and ground-breaking event to receive his prize for the year 1960.Luthuli Museum Women`s Month CelebrationIn celebrating women this women’s month, the Luthuli Museum will embrace their success in an event that will be held at the museum in Groutville on 30 August at 10:00am. This will be a public dialogue under a theme ‘Women empowering each other in the world economy’ that is set to explore some of the border breaking questions around financial freedom. Leading the discussion will be Rechi Dlamini, from Agribusiness Development Agency, who will unpack positional topics around the issues of economic emancipation and the role that women can play in bringing about financial status change to one another. The Luthuli Museum supports on-site and travelling exhibitions that honour, explore and inform about the legacy of Chief Albert Luthuli and the Liberation Movement.
