The Marsam (old Sheik Ali Hotel) is the oldest rest house on West bank / Luxor. It is well known among Egyptologists, Artists, Travellers.Situated in walking distance to most historical sites of the necropole Theben West, far away from traffic and standard tourism, you can start your trip to ancient Egypt. The hotel has 37 rooms, 20 with private bathroom and air condition. Room rates are from 35 € to 80 € for a double room, including breakfast. Our garden cafe/restaurant is famous for it’s special atmosphere and delicious fresh food, most of our organic food grows in our hotel garden, the rest we buy from local markets – no frozen and convenience food The perfect place to relax after a day in the tombs and temples of Theben.
